Come on the Chels!

It’s Chelsea takeover day on The Equity Kicker today.  Yesterday was an incredible day at Stamford Bridge triumphing 8-0 on the day to win the league on the back of two other massive home wins.  We’ve seen Chelsea bang in 23 goals in our last three home games.  It’s an awesome time to be a Chelsea fan and I’m looking forward to seeing if we can make it a League-Cup double this weekend.

A quick note on the management and owner.  Ancelotti is the sort of manager I like, and I’m not just talking about football.  He is smart, very effective, straightforward and lets his actions speak for him (I loved Mourinho too, but wouldn’t have wanted him running one of our companies).  Turning to Abramovich, for me has been a very effective owner – he has a good vision for the club and is happy to take difficult and unpopular decisions, plus he usually gets them right.

FA Cup Victory

I couldn’t let today go past without pausing to celebrate Chelsea lifting the FA Cup.

Not so glorious in style, but winning is winning, and that means we’ve one two trophies to United’s one this season – that’s how it works isn’t it?

The Mighty Blues go marching on.

Chelsea - League Cup 2007 Drogba

I’ve so far kept my football pretty much out of this blog, but today I have got to say CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MIGHTY BLUES.

We have now taken the first (small) step towards a possible quadruple – which as well as being record breaking would be awesome to behold.

I was in Cardiff and it was a great game – BBC report here.
