Since I read Tim Ferris’s 4 Hour Working Week I’ve been on a constant drive to focus on the things that really count – both at work and at home. These three questions from the folks at the Positivity Blog to ask about your next task are a great tool for doing just that:
- Who cares?
- What is the most important thing I can do right now?
- Will this matter in five years?
All the time I see people working really hard, often stressed out, and not making the headway that they might. Cutting out the unimportant stuff and taking advantage of other simple productivity hacks like batch processing email are a tremendous help in getting more done, reducing stress and finding time to keep you life in balance.
