		<description>i don&#039;t see any reason for Google to buy twitter.&lt;br&gt;They already have Jaiku, dodgeball and probably some others.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;When they bought Jaiku they got the better engine, and a group of clever people who had already bult a Mircorblogging platform. As the famous essay tells us &quot;built one to throw away, because you will anyway&quot;.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Now with Latitude, we can start to see the results of that. &lt;br&gt;Also Jyri Engstrom is keen on the idea of federation, and has on at least on occasion mentioned that he has talked with the guys behind identi.ca.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Federation is the way forward (use any service, and swap as needed, like with email).&lt;br&gt;If OpenMicroblogging succeeds (and it should) then Google is in quite a strong postion, as it has access to two engines (Latitude (its own one) and Jaiku (via 20% time))</description>
