The mobile web is waiting to take off

iphone and nokia

And it it waiting on the right devices being available …. at least that is the implication of a c|net report on iPhone usage.  Apparently there are now more Google searches from iPhones than Symbian phones, despite the latter far, far outnumbering the former.

That tells me people want to use the mobile web, but at the moment it is too hard on most phones.  It also implies that problem is coming to an end.

Could be a good time to invest in the mobile internet.

Thanks to Scoble for the pointer to c|net.

I think iphone V2 will be the best version, Apple made a few mistakes…but it’s still cool.

I’ve finally found the right mobile device to surf the Web, and it’s an iPod. The iPod Touch to be exact, aka the iPhone without the phone. Beautiful web browser, easy to navigate, and WiFi connectivity. It’s almost perfect, so long as you’re near a WiFi point. 3G connectivity would make it unbeatable in my view. I definitely expect the mobile Web to get a boost in the coming months.
