As reported by Comscore More than half of Myspace Visitors are over 35. Now, as Pete Cashmore points out the active users are probably still much younger, but this is a good sign for social networks everywhere. The big fear from an investment point of view has been that MySpace et al will struggle to sustain their businesses. Now there is evidence of the ageing demograhpic profile of users a large part of that concern (i.e. that social networks are just for kids) is receding.
